Dealing with six pregnancy losses was difficult both mentally and physically. Dr. Arredondo was a caring and supportive doctor who always encouraged us to keep trying despite our repeated failures. His sincerity and candor were coupled with a good sense of humor and we found him to be always accessible. He provided a level of personal service and support that made us feel that our desire to become parents was as important to him as it was to us.

My husband and I walked into RMA of Texas hoping our lives would be changed forever. We had finally ended up in the one place we never thought we would be. It's hard to wrap your mind around the fact that you need help to get pregnant. But we did and RMA was the best place for us. When we first met Dr. Arredondo and his staff we felt such a great deal of peace and hope. They were always very encouraging throughout all the testing necessary to become pregnant. On our first try using an IUI procedure we found out we were pregnant and it goes without saying how thrilled all of us were. At the end of our experience with Dr. Arredondo and his staff they truly became a part of our family. They supported us throughout my pregnancy and when I gave birth to our beautiful baby girl Ella they were one of the first calls we made. Where do we begin? For what seemed like a lifetime, we were trying to have a baby. I bought a book and studied all the nuances of a woman’s fertility. We did everything that we read about and heard of and still no pregnancy. Finally, my regular OB/GYN referred a fertility specialist.

Dr. Francisco Arredondo was that doctor. When we first me him, he was very friendly and caring. He asked lots of questions and listened intently to our story. He ordered to determine if there was a problem. Through it all he was very thorough and helpful. He explained everything until we were satisfied that we understood the terminology.

We went through procedures, a surgery, and lab tests. It was determined that we had “unexplained infertility”. Dr. Arredondo was not giving up on us. He helped us navigate all of the options that we had. Of course we chose the low tech route initially. After no success, we upped the ante and went to the next step: stronger injectable drugs. Still nothing! Finally, we chose to try IVF, in vitro fertilization with ICSI. Through it all, Dr. Arredondo was our biggest cheerleader and supporter. He and his staff prepared us for our cycle.

After many years of waiting, we are happy to report that with Dr. Arredondo’s tireless efforts, we were able to get pregnant and we delivered a healthy baby boy! I reflect on the emotions that we experienced during our journey to become parents: pain, frustration, and anger. Yet through it all Dr. Arredondo made sure we were informed, listened to and given hugs when needed.

We thank God everyday for our son. We hope that if you are considering creating a family because you have not been able to on your own, that you will choose Dr. Arredondo. No matter what the outcome of your attempts, you will be better for knowing him!

After two years of trying to conceive, we finally decided to search for alternatives. My OB/GYN referred me to a fertility specialist. After conducting some tests, Dr. Arredondo was able to determine that a probable cause of why we hadn't been able to conceive was that I had uterine fibroids. He explained that even though they are benign and women are still able to get pregnant, in my situation they were blocking my fallopian tubes. He was able to remove the majority of the fibroids, but unfortunately, for unknown reasons, they were still blocked. This, however, gave us hope because we now knew what the problem was and that IVF was the solution for us. Dr. Arredondo and his team were able to take us through the whole IVF process explaining it to us in terms we could understand. They were very helpful in answering all our questions. Today we are the proud parents of a healthy baby boy. He is everything we wanted. We are blessed to have met Dr. Arredondo and his team at RMA and are planning for a second child with his aid. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for 3 years when we were finally referred to RMA of Texas. We had seen other specialists but without success. When I first spoke to Dr. Arredondo on the phone I expected to give a brief history and make an appointment. I was really astonished when he asked me how I was doing emotionally. No other physician had asked me that question and it made me feel as though someone really cared. The RMA staff is exceptional!! They are very professional and yet make you feel as though you have know them for years. After 3 long years of waiting, we finally heard the words that we had longed for, "Your pregnant", and now we have a beautiful, healthy baby girl. We are so thankful for all the hard work and support that Dr. Arredondo and his staff provided. We look forward to visiting again.
